(1/2 quantity makes approx. 20 nests, full quantity approx. 40 nests)
INGREDIENTS
4oz salted butter
4tbsp golden syrup
4tbsp cocoa (level)
4tbsp granulated or caster sugar
8oz corn flakes or rice crispies or shredded wheat (2oz = 7tbsp)
Mini eggs and little chickens for decoration
METHOD
Melt all the ingredients together in a saucepan until melted and combined.
Pour chocolate mixture over the corn flakes (or rice crispies if using) and mix well until all the flakes are covered.
Put 1 x heaped dessert spoon of the mixture into each fairy cake case. Push 3 mini eggs down into the centre of the choc coated flakes to create a well, so that it looks like a nest
Refrigerate initially to harden and then store in an airtight container until ready to eat.
