This time last year, I was complaining about not being able to turn our heating on until November – little did I know that this year that would be a ‘luxury’ as we look forward to a Winter of thermals and hot water bottles!
Clocks go back later this month, the evenings begin to get darker, and we will start to think ahead to Christmas. Our What’s On Guide is full of fabulous ideas for family fun during the festive period, including family Shows, events and activities to keep everyone busy. We also have a reader offer and competition to win tickets to the Spirit of Christmas Fair.
I am often struggling to find a gift shop when looking for presents, and hope that our Highlight on Gift Shops will be a helpful reference in the run-up to the festive shopping period. We have also included a few Christmas Gift Ideas for some inspiration this year.
In addition, this issue includes inspiring interviews and insightful editorial; Robin Chatwin from Savills gives us the low-down on the South London Property Market, the co-founder of Lark gift shop tells us more about their rapidly expanding business, Nutritionist Sam Bourne, gives us some guidance on what to eat to keep us warm this Winter, we talk to Laura Whitwood about her role as Head of the Junior School at St Dunstan’s College, and we visit a South London School to discover how they have incorporated Outdoor Learning into their curriculum.
